Everything New in Neverness to Everness Version 1.1

Neverness to Everness has been one of the biggest surprises of the year for me. Going into the game, I wasn't sure what to expect, especially after playing the studio's previous title, Tower of Fantasy. After spending the last month playing almost every day, it's safe to say that Neverness to Everness has completely exceeded my expectations.

Now, a month later, the game's first major update has officially arrived.

Version 1.1, titled "Dreamwalk Corridor," released on June 3 and introduces a variety of new content, including new story chapters, playable characters, a new island region, gameplay systems, a Porsche collaboration, quality-of-life improvements, and much more.

In this blog, we'll take a look at everything coming in Neverness to Everness Version 1.1.

New Character: Lacrimosa

Lacrimosa will be the first limited S-Class character featured in Version 1.1. Her banner will run from June 3 through June 24.

Lacrimosa is a member of the ETD (Esper Tactical Division), which operates under the Bureau of Anomaly Control (BAC). She is a damage-focused character whose Esper Ability attribute is Chaos. She can conjure all sorts of objects out of thin air, making her combat style both unique and unpredictable. Her compatible Arc is Liquid.

If you haven't completed the spinoff quest "Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report!", I highly recommend doing so. It gives you a great opportunity to meet Lacrimosa and see her combat abilities in action. It may also help you decide whether she's a character you want to pull for.

She has a very unique personality and an obsession with tomato jelly. As a side note, I had never heard of tomato jelly before, but I looked it up and, sure enough, it's an actual recipe that people make and eat!

Anywho, lol, I probably won't be pulling for Lacrimosa. Not because I don't think she'll be a powerful and reliable character, but because I want to save my pulls for future characters.

New Character: Chaos

Chaos will be the second limited S-Class character featured in Version 1.1. His banner is set to run from June 24 through July 8.

I don't know much about Chaos just yet. We meet him for the first time during the Debt Collector main story quest. He is a member of the ETD (Esper Tactical Division) 6th Platoon, which operates under the Bureau of Anomaly Control (BAC).

Based on the patch notes, his Esper Ability attribute appears to be Lakshana. He specializes in close- to mid-range combat and can summon a thick fog that he can shape however he wants. His compatible Arc is Condensate.

I am very tempted to pull for Chaos, but I'm more than likely going to hold off. Then again, who knows? We'll see, lol.

New Story Content

A new Main Story Episode called "Dreamwalk Corridor" will be available in Version 1.1. To unlock it, you'll need to complete the main story quest "A Research in Scarlet."

I'm excited to see where the story goes next. So far, I've been impressed with the storytelling and how the game has introduced important characters. I'm especially interested in learning more about the protagonist's past, the Scarlet Letter Organization, and Dafodil's history.

Explore Sunward Island

Alongside the new main story quest comes a brand-new location: Sunward Island. The island becomes accessible as you progress through the "Dreamwalk Corridor" main story quest.

A new location is always a good thing in my opinion, being the explorer junkie that I am, lol. I'm happy to see a new area added so soon after launch. I really like this first addition to the map. It feels perfect for summer!

According to the patch notes, "Sunward Island was developed around the Anomaly Charity House. It's not your usual tourist location." That tells me there will probably be plenty of secrets to uncover, and I am more than ready to start exploring.

The Corridor of Echoes

The Corridor of Echoes is a new Anomaly zone that can be found somewhere within Sunward Island. While the developers haven't revealed too many details about this mysterious location, we do know that it will introduce new enemies, new challenges, and plenty of opportunities for exploration.

It also appears that the developers are intentionally keeping some secrets hidden for players to discover on their own. Based on what we've seen so far, players can likely expect a mix of unique combat encounters, environmental storytelling, and rewards for those willing to venture deeper into the anomaly.

As someone who enjoys exploring every corner of a new area, I'm definitely interested to see what the Corridor of Echoes has to offer. Hopefully, it contains plenty of mysteries and surprises waiting to be uncovered.

New Events

Version 1.1 introduces a variety of limited-time events that will run throughout the update, offering players new activities and plenty of rewards.

• Circle Gifts (June 3 - July 8) - Log in for seven days to earn 10 Solid Dice.
• What's Baking? (June 3 - July 8) - Become a Bagel Creator and earn rewards.
• Underground Circuit (June 3 - July 8) - A no-rules racing event with exclusive rewards.
• Sunward Travelogue (June 3 - July 8) - Progress through Strange Tales: Sunward Island.
• The Long Dream (June 3 - July 8) - Explore the world alongside Lacrimosa.
• Fons Rush (June 8 - June 15) - Earn double Fons rewards.
• Hunter's Crucible (June 18 - July 8) - Combat-focused challenges and rewards.
• Fight Championship (June 24 - July 8) - Let your fists do the talking.
• Pixel Surge (June 26 - July 3) - Receive double rewards from select activities.

New Bond and Hangout Content

Version 1.1 will also expand the game's Bond and City Hangout systems. New content will become available for both Lacrimosa and Chaos once you obtain the characters.

Players can look forward to new City Hangouts, additional Bond progression, ride-along features, move-in interactions, and more opportunities to spend time with their favorite characters.

I've always enjoyed these types of systems because they help characters feel more than just party members.

Porsche Collab

The Porsche Collaboration is undoubtedly one of the most talked-about additions coming in Version 1.1, and I'll admit, it has definitely caught my attention as well. This will be a limited-time event running from June 3 through July 8.

Players will be able to obtain the new Porsche 918 Spyder in-game using either Annulith or Fons. The system works through "Everdriving" Mystery Boxes, where each box contains a different reward. As you continue opening boxes, you'll eventually unlock the mystery box containing the Porsche 918 Spyder itself.

Your first mystery box will cost 50,000 Fons or 50 Annulith, with the price increasing for each box opened afterward. There are 15 boxes total, and unlocking all of them guarantees every reward in the pool.

From what I understand, however, the odds of obtaining the Porsche early are fairly low. While some lucky players may unlock it sooner, I believe most players will probably end up getting it closer to their final pulls.

The reward pool includes the brand-new Porsche 918 Spyder, Appraiser Zero's exclusive collab outfit "Perfect Partners," Fabricated Dice x10, A Handwritten Letter x3, 500,000 Fons, the exclusive avatar frame "Heartbeat Moment," the exclusive namecard "Trackside Shadow," and more.

Personally, I think the Porsche looks fantastic, but I'm curious to see how players feel about the pricing and mystery box system once the update goes live.

New Property

A new property called Pegasus Residence will be added in Version 1.1. Players will be able to purchase it for 7,500,000 Fons once they reach Tycoon Level 13.

Unlike some of the limited-time content coming in this update, Pegasus Residence will be a permanent addition to the game, so there will be no rush to unlock it right away.

This property will also allow players to upgrade the Anomaly Furniture "Mechanic" to Level 7, giving housing enthusiasts another long-term goal to work toward.

Bagel SNS

Players will now be able to post on the infamous Bagel app. You can share images from your in-game album, as well as browse, like, and bookmark posts from other players. You'll also be able to track your own posts and see how they're performing.

Bagel will also introduce a new Creator Incentive Program. Engagement on your posts will be converted into a currency called Praise Jam, which can then be spent in the Bagel Shop on various rewards.

This is a pretty cool feature that adds another layer of social interaction to the game. I'm sure a lot of players will enjoy sharing their screenshots and creations, and I wouldn't be surprised if the feature becomes quite popular within the community.

New Outfits and Cosmetics

Players will be able to obtain five new outfits upon Lacrimosa's debut. These include Yesterday's Melody, Nightingale's Crescendo, Gilded Rhapsody, Piano Key Sonatina, and New Moon Lullaby.

Players will also be able to obtain two new outfits upon Chaos' debut: Clear Skies and Never Skip.

I do wish Chaos was getting a few more outfit options at launch, especially considering how many Lacrimosa is receiving, but oh well. I'm sure more outfits will be added for him in future updates.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Neverness to Everness Version 1.1 looks like a strong first major update. Between the new story content, two new characters, Sunward Island, new events, expanded Bond content, and various other additions, there appears to be plenty for players to dive into.

While Lacrimosa and Chaos will likely grab most of the attention, I'm personally most interested in exploring Sunward Island and seeing how much the new city content expands the overall experience.
