Sentient Beings is a part of your journal that ties directly into exploring the map. If you’re aiming for 100% completion, this is definitely where you’ll be spending a lot of time. Each area has its own list of collections you’ll need to finish before it counts as completed. In this guide, we’ll go over every area, break down what each collection is asking you to do, and highlight the rewards you can receive along the way.
Verdant Wilds
The Verdant Wilds consists of four locations. These include:
- General's Shrine
- Battlecrest Slope
- Bamboo Abode
- Stonewash Strand
Moonveil Mountain
The Moonveil Mountain consists of fifteen locations. These include:
- Heaven's Pier
- Kilnfire Ridge
- Blissful Retreat
- Still Shore

- Harvestfall Village
- Crimson Cliff
- Gleaming Abyss

| Antiques | Explore each area, earn Karma, and unlock clues to identify each antique’s owner and complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Archery Contest | Compete in an archery challenge that tests your aim, timing, and focus. Score high enough to win and complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Boundary Stone | Find all teleportation stones in the area to unlock fast travel points and progress completion. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Camp | Defeat bandits and hostile enemies found in camps or along roadsides to reach the required total. |
| Cat Play | Locate all cats in the area, interact with them, and pet each one. The collection displays how many you need for each area. |
| Chess | Sit with NPCs hosting the Xiangqi/Chess board, play a match, and win to finish the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Chest Collection | Find all treasure chests hidden throughout the region. The collection shows how many remain for the area. |
| Encounter | Visit unique spots and speak with important NPCs. “Encounter” text appears on your screen when one is discovered. |
| Exploration Guide | Visit designated exploration points such as landmarks or viewpoints to uncover details about the region. |
| Fishing Contest | Participate in a friendly fishing competition. Cast your line and win the match to complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Gift of Gab Debate | Challenge NPCs in debate encounters. Win the conversation to complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Graceful Melody | Play your instrument at marked locations or with specific NPCs. Perform successfully to earn rewards and finish the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Healer Healing | Heal injured NPC's throughout the region. Successfully heal them all and it will complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Hidden Path | Follow glowing butterfly trails to discover hidden routes and secret spots. Complete all paths to finish the collection. |
| Injustice Quest | Fight enemies causing trouble around the region and clear marked combat challenges to complete the collection. |
| Madiao Cards | Sit at the Madiao card table, play a round with the NPC host, and win a match to complete the collection. |
| Martial Fellowship | Challenge martial artists and skilled fighters throughout the region. Win duels to build bonds and complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Meow Meow | Locate Meow Meow, interact with it, and solve its puzzles or riddles to earn rewards. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Oddity Collection | Gather unique natural sound-based collectibles. An Oddity icon appears on your mini-map when one is nearby. |
| Old Friend | Meet wandering NPCs, talk with them, build friendship, and receive gifts as the bond grows. Raise friendship enough to finish the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Pitch Pot | Play the Pitch Pot mini game at marked locations. Make successful throws and win the round to complete the collection. (Map icon pictured above.) |
| Universal Harmony | Travel to scenic viewpoints guided by butterflies and interact with each vista to complete this peaceful exploration collection. |
| Wild Ritual Ghost Fire | Locate spirit shrines, follow butterfly clues, and interact with each shrine to complete the ritual and finish the collection. |
Rewards
For each location where you complete all collections, you’ll receive a Full Exploration Reward ranging anywhere from 10 to 80 Echo Jade. You’ll also be contributing to the Area Exploration Progress for Qinghe, which is a great way to earn even more rewards. As you complete different sections in the exploration journal, you’ll accumulate points. Here are the different levels and the rewards you can earn.
