Where Winds Meet: A Cure for Hollow Joy Guide (Wandering Tales Walkthrough)

Here is a walkthrough on how to complete A Cure for Hollow Joy in Where Winds Meet. This is a Wandering Tale I stumbled across while exploring Qinghe. If you haven’t come across this quest yet, go ahead and travel to the Crimson Cliff Teleport.

At the teleport, look around for a man named Xiao the Healer, who is laughing uncontrollably.

His exact map location is pictured below.

Once you talk to him, the Wandering Tale will begin. Your goal is to find 3 vials around Crimson Cliff to cure Xiao’s uncontrollable laughing.

Vial One

Turn around and head in the opposite direction past the teleport. The exact map location you need to go to is pictured below.

This vial is hidden in a bird’s nest sitting on the edge of some jagged rocks. This is what you should be looking for.

Vial Two

Keep traveling further around the outskirts of the cliff. You will eventually stumble across a bandit camp. The exact map location is pictured below.

Defeat the enemies. The vial is sitting on top of the breakable vases. Also, don’t forget to loot the chest!

Vial Three

Continue traveling further around the outskirts of the cliff. The final vial is hidden behind a cluster of rocks. The exact map location is pictured below.

You will see a black bear. You’ll need to use one of your mystic skills to throw the bear into the rocks. This didn’t defeat the bear for me, so either fight him or keep throwing him until you do. The vial is sitting on top of a rock once the rocks break. And again, don’t forget to loot the chest!

Submit the Vials to Xiao the Healer

With all three vials in hand, travel back to Xiao. When you speak to him, a give option will appear. Select that and give Xiao the three vials you found.

This will cure Xiao the Healer’s uncontrollable laughter and complete the Wandering Tale. Make sure to go to the Wandering Tales section and claim your reward.

You will receive 4 rewards upon completion. Those rewards are shown below.
